Coop: Software for a successful shopping experience.
There's much more to Coop than a well-known supermarket around the corner. The Coop Group also includes a diverse range of outlet formats that don't bear the Coop logo, as well as wholesalers and production plants. The two pillars of retail trade on the one hand, and wholesale and production on the other, enable the Coop Group to perform well in both Switzerland and the rest of Europe. With Transgourmet Holding AG, Coop is the second largest company in the European cash and carry and wholesale supplies sector.
Since August 2013, Coop's retail outlets have had a new mobile branch merchandise management system. Inventory management, disposition and incoming stock inspections are all fully processed via the tailor-made software solution Ergo. It supports Coop's employees with their daily work and ensures that the inventory information in all branches is always up to date.

ERGO, the mobile merchandise management solution developed by Ergon, has been successfully deployed at more than 1,200 Coop retail outlets since 2013. ERGO ensures that every branch’s stock control data is up to date at all times, making day-to-day duties easier for staff. Ergon has now reconfigured the software for the Android operating system, thus making it compatible with smartphones.
As a result of the operating system switch from Windows CE to Android, and the associated responsive behaviour, Coop is now free to weigh up which of the many data capture terminals on the market best suits its needs.
Ergon developed the central software solution Jazz for workforce management, time tracking and access control. The system was launched in July 2006 and manages the deployment of around 47,000 Coop employees every day.
More recently, Jazz was further developed to become the software solution Zebra, which is currently also used by Migros and Compass Group.
Jazz automates processes, reduces costs and improves the quality of workforce management.
Coop Track&Trace is a comprehensive tracking system that integrates all the different shops of the Coop Group and serves the needs of both customers and employees. It enables customers to track their order from start to finish, while also making it easier for staff to deliver goods at the 500+ Coop pick-up locations.
Track&Trace enables integrated management of order and logistics processes, as well as providing a complete overview of the separate online shop systems of the Coop Group.
