Ergon Informatik looks back on a successful financial year in 2023. The Swiss IT service provider has achieved an 11 percent increase in revenue, expanded its customer base and strengthened existing partnerships.
Ergon Informatik generated revenue of CHF 73.3 million in 2023, which corresponds to an increase of 11 percent year-on-year. The Zurich-based IT service provider and manufacturer of the Airlock® Secure Access Hub has gained 39 new clients and 50 new business, while the number of employees has increased to 431.
“We’ve been guiding our customers on the path to success for 40 years. We accompany them through all phases of digitalisation – from the initial idea to market success. In this way, we continue to develop dynamically and shape our future with a goal-driven approach. We have constantly expanded our range of services. Our unique corporate culture and the commitment of our employees are our most important assets,” explains Gabriela Keller, CEO of Ergon Informatik. The broad-based customer portfolio makes Ergon resilient and strengthens the company’s position in the market. However, the focus is still on the financial sector.
Growth and innovation in banking
Ergon has once again proven itself to be a strong technology partner for banks and financial services providers. The successful collaboration with RULEMATCH is particularly worthy of note. The Swiss company is one of the first interbank trading platforms for digital assets – developed exclusively for financial institutions. Ergon supported RULEMATCH over a two-year period – from the idea, through the design and implementation, to the go-live.
With the leading digital retirement planning platform VIAC, Ergon achieved another milestone. The new app for the 3A retirement planning solution has been revised and was relaunched in 2023. Ergon has supported the start-up since its founding.
On the road to success with SBB
Together with SBB, Ergon has successfully carried out a study on the use of speech recognition for operating the SBB radio-operated track vacancy detector app. Ergon and SBB see great potential in voice input making it easier for shunting workers to use the app during extreme weather conditions.
Airlock continues to grow
Airlock is gaining numerous new clients at home and abroad and is experiencing increasing demand from existing customers. For example, the security solution in the area of self-sovereign identity (SSI) has acquired a new client from the telecommunications and energy sector. The SSI technology focuses on the decentralised storage of identity data and systematic user consent to the release of this data.
For Geberit, Airlock reviewed the IT security of the “Geberit Connect” platform and developed a threat model. The platform connects sanitary products – from toilets to washbasins. As part of a security consulting mandate, Airlock assessed the extent to which “Geberit Connect” meets the standards of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute. These standards apply to all devices that can be connected wirelessly.
Airlock recorded another success with a leading Swiss company in the field of identity and access management. Due to the rising user figures for the corporate app, Airlock increased the number of IAM users. The app recorded more than five million registered users in 2023.
